The log cabin store is conveniently and centrally located between most major communities. Although, this is not always apparent. Through the process of creating a map for the CONTACT page, we discovered the the store is located in a pivitol area that becomes a hidden key to accessing the fastest or shortest path between many points.
The first impression leaves one to believe that we are located in the middle of nowhere. We lie in the middle of the quickest path between Guelph and Simcoe. The shortest possible route between Caledonia and Brantford.
Coming to the store from Guelph one would envision taking Hwy 6 all the way to Hwy 54 would be the shorter, faster route. Look again. Yes, the instructions are easier to remember but taking the New Hwy 6 South from the 403 takes you South East when you really want to go South West from that point. It takes about 30 km to arrive at the store using the easy directions - although, you do get to spend a bit more time driving along the scenic Grand River.
Using the Copetown Exit route, means staying on 403 and exiting at the Copetown 54 exit and following the signs to the Grand River Dinner Cruises all the way to the river, which also puts you on Hwy 54, but now your drive has been cut down to approximately 18km, almost half.

One would think coming from the 403 in Hamilton to the New Hwy 6 to Hwy 6 would be shortest route between the two points. Not so.

To go from Brantford to Jarvis, people may take the Cockshutt Road to Townline Road to Hagersville to Jarvis. But, taking Six Nations turns out to be the shortest distance between two points.

Only when you see wide area map does it become clear that Six Nations is great central location to many well-known cities and communities.

January 2008 brings a new updated CONTACT page using Apple’s new iWeb ’08 application that ships at no extra charge with every Mac.

From time to time more changes will occur. Hopefully, it will be easier, faster, better than the previous CONTACT page. Continue on Hwy 2 (Wilson Road) past Shaver Rd. Past the lights at Garner Rd (Hwy 52), past the lights at the Industrial Business Park, to the lights at Trinity Rd. Turn South/Left unto Trinity Rd. Trinity Road (South) bends into Carluke Rd (West) Turn South/Right on Brant Rd. #22 (toward The Princess Grand River Dinner Cruise Lines) to the River Bend Restaurant. Turn Right/West unto Hwy 54. Alternate A (Back roads): Take Hwy 24 (North) turn right on Concession 13 (The roly poly road), it becomes Stone Quarry Road (Concession 13 W-3), turn left on Regional Road 74 (Townsend Road). Turn right (North) on Concession 17 (Blue # 2637), past real buffalos, past Little Buffalo Gas Station. #17 now becomes Chiefswood Road. Past Ohsweken. Turn Left (West) on Hwy 54. (At Chiefswood Park Pow Wow grounds and home of Pauline Johnson). Notice the Shell Gas Station, followed by the Grocery Store, followed by the Log Cabin at 986 Hwy 54.

Alternate B (avoid the Burlington Bridge): Take the Centennial Parkway thru Stoney Creek to the Lincoln Alexander Parkway instead. Exit on Upper James Rd (becomes Hwy 6) to Caledonia (avoid the #6 By-Pass) to Hwy 54 (West/Right) or Exit on 403 toward Brantford and follow Alternate A or B as given for the Guelph travelers at the point of Hwy 403 (East) in Hamilton.

I'm told that there is a new link to Hwy 6 from the 401 in the Pines Road - Franklin Rd Area of Cambridge-Galt - please advise.
I'm also told that we have the first map to show the New Hwy 6 link from Hamilton to Caledonia - thanks for the info.
