Lots of new iPods in stock for the holidays

Fred Vermeer and Ryan Jannsen take hold of the new iPods at iC.

Just Added - Spore, by the maker of THE SIMS

John Baucom hands out one of toughest assignments yet to iC Crew. To be one of the first to become an expert in the new Spore game for Mac & PC. That way the iC Crew can help others to create creatures or entire universes. (No, I’m not talking about the Large Hadron Collider at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, known as CERN - Notice the Mac-in-speak voice in their rap video). Hey, for those who are tired with your universe this is a cool way to change it.

Whether you’re looking for cool new gear

or looking for great classics

iC has you covered.

Visit the store for on icy cool, new MacBooks and MacBook Pros.  Inquire about deals for maximum memory upgrades, all-in-one printer rebates, keyboard protector skins, Microsoft Office 2008 Student/Teacher edition and ask for a live demo on iWork. See for yourself, the reasons we predicted Apple will reach number 1. (a year ago, word on the street was that Apple only had a 2% of the market share. At last check Apple had reached No. 3 in PC sales with the No. 2 Office Suite in the world.) Mmm!  I See.

Top New Year’s Resolution:  “This year I’m buying a Mac!

Discover why at iC SuperCOMPUTERS!

Eric Scott, Mac Genius Jr. leads the Saturday morning Guitar Hero III contest at our log cabin store, showing of many fun new products (or should I say new fun products) available.  We should note that the Guitar III for Mac not only works on a PC, but it works better on a Mac.  Only on a Mac can you play with the game’s USB guitar, but you can also plug in a real electric guitar and both can play to the same song at the same time.  Now, that’s a cool challenge - Guitar Hero III guitar vs. real guitar.

JBL provided one of many speaker options available from our log cabin store (see below for more options).

This one of the few places where you can get a hands-on demo of the top-rated FlightStick, while Fred Vermeer, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician, takes visitors on a flight from t
he Hamilton Airport, over the Grand River to the Brantford Airport or to the Toronto Island Airport with X-Plane, the best flight simulator ever - so realistic it’s actually used for pilot certification training.  And, if you’re not spaced out by then, Fred will even take you on the Space Shuttle.  If you’re still feeling adventurous try your hand at landing a F-18 Hornet on a fast FRIGATE. [ Not recommended for the faint hearted - Oh frig, I just overshot the break wire, clear the deck! ]

Colour Skins

These skins offer protection and style for the MacBook family.

Although, most of the products you’ll find are PC/Mac compatible, the biggest draw is the cool new stuff from Apple.

If you look at the history, it’s easy to see why Apple creates the featured must-have products that everyone loves today.

It’s not like Apple is new to the business.  And, it’s not like Apple has never been the number one computer before.  They have strong, survivor experience on both sides of the equation.

In the Mid-80’s Apple computer once topped IBM and Compaq for the position of the No.1 selling computer overall.  Since 1999, right up to 2007, Apple computers has consistently placed as the number one selling computer of the Christmas seasons.  In 2007 Apple products were number one in many categories.

This year we’re predicting that in 2008, Apple - with Steve Job’s help - will return to it’s position as the No. 1 selling computer overall.

NOTE: We first posted that prediction last year.  Earlier this year Apple leap frogged to the number no. 3 position overall outpacing Lenovo, Gateway, Alienware, Sony, Acer and many others.  We still expect to see Apple reach no. 1 this year.  So what are you waiting for?  Christmas!

Mac computers are now labeled as the best Windows VISTA PC. The Mac product line got off to great start in 2006 when the world’s leading publications compared it to a DELL and discovered it was actually faster and over $1,000.00 cheaper than an equally configured DELL computer.

Thinner, Better, Cheaper, Stronger...

See for yourself.  Read the entries from our previous Blog pages featuring independent articles from credible, recognized sources listed at the bottom of the sidebar on left. Discover how Mac, the current No.1 seller, compares to the former No. 1 seller.  Then come into the store and find out how Mac can improve your home or business computer experience.

But, it’s the incredible Mac OS X Leopard release that has really shook the industry, placing Apple sales up, while others were down. No wonder it was reported this year that:

 Early 2008:

Mac claims more Japan OS sales than Windows.

 Mid:  2008:

Apple Climbs Into Third Place in U.S. PC Market

See for yourself.  Read the full article in the sidebar on left.  Then stop in to the only Mac store in a Log Cabin and check out the number one place buy your Mac.

Our New Year’s prediction is that Mac OS to overtake Windows OS in North America during 2008.

At iC SuperCOMPUTERS’ Log Cabin Store, you’ll see both Apple and non-Apple products working in harmony.  The store is authorized to carry over 200,000 products.  But, we take the care and time to limit the number of products that enter the store.  We’d prefer having system, printers, devices, gadgets, cameras, TVs, cables, scanners, sound systems and related products that work with both Mac and Windows, so that we can better support all of our customers during their transition stages from Windows to Mac.

There are plenty of great iC deals on the coolest products available at Santa’s Log Cabin Mac store, which features friendly, knowledgeable help, the best selection of both consumer and professional systems, personal computer training, Authorized Apple Service Provider centre, plenty of FREE parking along the Grand River Scenic Parkway, a hot cup of Apple cider, live impromptu Jam sessions and fun place to be.

To find us just click onto our CONTACT page, other online maps (even Apple’s own Locator) will surely get you lost.  Of course, Santa’s Log Cabin Store is in a magical location that can not be found by MapQuest, Yellowpages.ca, Google Maps, Microsoft Streets and Maps.  With the best deals on the coolest stuff of this holiday season, finding the only Mac store in a log cabin is a fun-filled adventure for the whole family, that beats spending hours looking for parking or sitting at the border.

Lots of iMacs, including the new iMac 24 inch computers. With it’s ability to run Linux, Unix, Windows and Mac OS X Leopard, the iMacs are perfect All-In-One gift for the person who has/wants everything.  According to Consumer Reports Magazine, from 2002 thru 2007, “Only Apple computers are notably reliable.”.  Check out the Articles and Reviews listed on this page.

MacBooks are consistently the biggest seller.  Now all MacBooks have a built-in SuperDrive. The new unibody MacBooks are hot.

Amazon provides live updates on their top selling items online.  Fred, one of our Apple Certified Technicians, decided to check it out and logged in on Christmas Eve to discover that the Apple MacBook was placed as the number selling item at Amazon.com.  We thought that was worth noting.  Apparently, so did others.

FORTUNE(Christmas eve 2007):

Apple MacBook is Amazon’s No. 1 top-selling computer

See for yourself.  Read the full article in the sidebar on left. Then talk to the friendly, helpful staff at award winning iC SuperCOMPUTERS log cabin store to find out how you can make this your number one.

That’s right!  Number one selling computer at Amazon’s online store. But, if you’re one of the lucky ones close enough to drive to our log cabin store (I guess we can’t say “Bricks-and-Mortar” store if it’s a log cabin), stop in and find out how you can get one at a much lower out-the-door cost this new year.

Mac Pro now ship with 8-Core processor power as a standard feature at the same price as the previous entry-level Mac Pro.   With over 4 million possible configurations it’s ultimate gamer/movie producer/scientist/pro artist/network system.

MacBook Air has arrived and it’s getting a lot of attention. It’s so thin we expected to be delivered in an inter-office memo. The new box (not pictured) is about the size of a box of chocolates.  See how it compares to the older models (and the older boxes).  You have to see it to believe it.

New MacBook Pros are setting new standards for power hungry professionals who demand the most out of their laptop.  With the ability to exceed the requirements of most PC desktops, these computers rule where other choke.  You’ll find them in use creating HD content for block buster films and award winning TV shows. You’ll find them in professional publication houses for Industry leading magazines, newspapers, advertising and web design.  You’ll find them in Fortune 500 companies.  You’ll find them here, at the coolest Mac store in the country.

Cool Mac games are available at iC’s Log Cabin Store. Call Kaela for prices and available game titles, such as Guitar Hero for Mac/PC, to get the most fun out of the top selling computer of the year.

Great new business, productivity and creative software packages available. Also, the latest essential software, such as OS X Leopard - Featuring Time Machine - is like giving your computer a new computer, and iLife ’08 featuring iWeb and the new GarageBand are just some of the software titles available.

Speaking of Time Machine...  We have lots of new LaCie HDs in 1 Terabyte, 500GB and 320GB sizes. (The bigger your external HD, the further back in time you can go). Time Machine is absolutely the easiest and best way to backup your valuable data.  There is no easier way to save and find lost or deleted photos, emails, documents, presentations, etc.

Pro software packages available including new Logic Studio 8 (a powerful recordings studio at a fraction of the cost of other recording packages is sure to make this the top software of the future.  And, the new Final Cut Studio, movie editing software used by award winning block buster productions houses at a fraction of the of cost of other professional editing suites has made this the number one selling software package in the film/movie/tv industry.

New iPod touch, iPod classic, New iPod nano (with video) and new iPod shuffle (in colour) have all been hot sellers. After selling out on Christmas Eve, new shipments started arriving the day after Christmas. They are still moving fast, so call the store and reserve yours today.

We still have some of Mac compatible sound systems such as the ultra-cool LogiTech portable iPod speakers with carrying case and breakout cable, the Mac-compatible version of the THX-Certified LogicTech 500 Watts RMS (1,000 Watts Peak) Digital/Optical 5.1 SRS speakers for your digital home theatre (also compatible with DVD players, TVs, iPods, MPG-3 players and GarageBand) and JBL iPod speaker systems (with built-in alarm clock). These speaker systems enhance the entertainment experience of your new Mac computer and your Apple iPod.

Digital photo cameras and/or DV-Cams from Sony, Canon, JVC, Fujitsu and Kodak are available.  Call Kaela, our leading sale rep - who helped us place in the Top 5 for Apple Reseller Sales in Southern Ontario - price and availability.

Also call Kaela for prices and availability on Plasma and LCD TVs from Acer, Samsung, Sharp, Sony and our featured Mac-compatible version of the Viewsonic 32” High-Definition HDMI Digital LCD-TV for simultaneous remote-controlled connections to Cable/Satellite, Mac computers plus an Apple-TV wireless connection for up to 5 streaming computers (Mac and PC) and connection to component audio or digital-optical speakers (such as the iPod Hi-Fi).

Yes, there are still peripherals and devices compatible with Mac computers, the Apple iPhone and iPods. This includes printers, FM transmitters, FireWire hubs, Wireless routers, Keyboards, Mice, and Flight Simulator Joysticks (See Fred, for a live demonstration of the FlightStick with X-Plane Flight Simulator). Also available are classic games for older Mac computers sold a reduced price.

These are a few of the reasons why...

Mac claims more Japan OS sales than Windows

http://www.electronista.com/articles/07/11/13/mac.up.win.down.in.japan/

Headline Predictions for 2008:

  1. 1.Apple claims more sales than PCs.

  2. 2. Mac claims more OS sales than Windows in North America.

  3. 3.iWork claims more sales than Microsoft Office.

To see why we feel that Mac will overtake PCs, Leopard will overtake Vista and iWork will overtake Microsoft Office right here and in this year, visit the log cabin store today.

If our prediction sounds unbelievable, don’t forget that in the Mid-80’s Wray predicted that Microsoft Word and Excel will eventually become number one. It took Microsoft 10 years to unseat WordPerfect for the position of No.1 Office Suite.  In the mid-90’s iC SuperCOMPUTERS predicted that Apple will rebound, when most people assumed that Apple would not survive a year.   In 2000, iC SuperCOMPUTERS was the first to promote the Mac as 100% Virus-Free.  In 2001 Wray & Kaela predicted that the iPod will be the next big thing (yes, people refused to believe it back then).  It only took only 3 months for iWork to become the number two office suite in the world - Both WordPerfect Office Suite and Microsoft Office runs on both Mac and PC, while iWorks only runs on Mac.

That speaks volumes.  Combined with the articles listed on this page, there’s a lot of research behind this claim.

Come on down and see it for yourself.

CONCLUSION:

Thinner, Better, Cheaper, Stronger...

Macs are the only computers in the world that can safely and efficiently run all four major operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows and Mac OS X).

For well over a year now, it's been widely known that a Mac is less expensive, yet faster, than an equally configured Dell computer.
