Notice: Get your Upgrade to Mac OS Leopard at the bottom of this page.
The store was open late Friday, Oct. 26th for those who wanted to purchase Leopard after the 6pm launch.
Now that’s it’s here. Come and check out a free look at OS X the following Saturday, Oct. 27th from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Fred, certified Apple technician, will be on hand for a presentation on Apple’s news and coolest operating system this morning.
In November, iC SuperCOMPUTERS will host a Leopard training by Apple’s Jamie Bonk for OS X Leopard in the Log Cabin Store (in the A Sharp Cafe) as an introduction to must-see Pro Logic Training. The Pro Logic training will feature a popular, local, youth band going through the process of producing a professional multi-track recording using Apple’s Pro Logic software.
The time for Jamie Bonk’s presentation is tentatively set for November 12th at 6:30pm. As soon as the event is officially post we will notify you on this site and provide the link so that you can register for this cool event.
Earlier, Apple has announced the release date for OS X Leopard, which has over 300 new features.
Unlike the way things work in the Windows world, Mac users are already gathering to pre-order their copy of Leopard.
In the Mac world the majority of existing Mac users will purchase Leopard whether they need it or not, simply because they know it will be insanely great and they know they will want it. Apple delivers the substance that people want at price that people can afford. People are already coming in to pre-order their copy in anticipation of the Oct. 26th release date.
In the Windows world the rule of thumb is that the majority of people will NOT willfully buy Windows Vista unless they have no other choice - either because it came pre-installed on a new computer or their older version has become obsolete to a point where they are no longer compatible.
There has already been a number of people who actually received Windows Vista pre-installed on a new computer and have opted to delete it and install a previous version of Windows, regardless. That just doesn’t happen in the Mac World, where people had choice of Windows Xp or Vista installed on a new Mac the entire time that Vista has been out. It’s no secret that Windows Xp was chosen over Vista.
It’s also no secret that everyone will want to upgrade to Mac OS X Leopard when it comes out.
So come in pick up Leopard (Lots in stock). Leopard is free with any new, qualifying Mac computer purchased since it’s October 26th release date. But, if you have purchased your Mac prior to that, you still have other pathways to Leopard. Check the links below for other options.
