Surprise Guest: The Breaking Wind was the featured band live onstage in this special FREE training event which took place at the Sharp Cafe.  Recording artist Jamie Bonk of Apple, Inc. (pictured above) hosted this 2 hour session that covers the basics on how to record a using Logic Pro 8, the latest technology in professional recording.

    Logic Pro Express and Logic Pro are next steps up from GarageBand into the professional world of recording.

    The Breaking Winds is popular, young band from Six Nations. Their ages range from 12 to 15 years old.

    This summer the band performed at the Grand Opening of the A Sharp Cafe, won The Battle of the Bands competition in Caledonia and played at Al Gore’s Live Earth Event on stage in Washington, D.C. They received rave reviews in national publications - including the Washington Post and in local newpapers.   The venue where their performance took place was voted the Best Venue of all the Live Earth events which took place on 07.07.07.

    It’s only fitting that this talented group of young locals and rising stars should return to this Six Nations’ venue.  They’re demo CD, which aired on CKRZ 100.3 FM radio, was recording on Apple’s popular GarageBand - which ships with every new Mac computer.

    Jamie showed the advantages and tricks of the trade associated with the next generation of professional recording.  Jamie created professional multi-track recording of the band in a rare, upclose look that provided a quick start guide as the audience witnessed the actual process of recording a band live while being treated to highly talented band, The Breaking Wind.
