Minto Fever in Six Nations
 
It’s Minto Cup fever in Six Nations. Big wigs from both Native and Non-Native origins are here for the event. I’m looking for the live webcast and a current news site for the event that’s being held here. A live scoreboard would be nice. Hey! You guys from Adobe. If you see the game, stop in and let me know the scores. If you have a digital camera cough up some exclusive pics to post here to show off the powers of photoshop. I went to URL address I had for the Six Nations Arrows was a link to an older site. But, thanks to the Dreamcatcher’s organization there is a current site for news. Check out the Six Nations Arrows Express at: http://www.sixnationsarrows.com/news.htm I did find an article from the Hamilton Spectator but, I was surprised to see that it started with the sentence, “Despite tensions over the disputed land claim in Caledonia, organizers of the Minto Cup have no doubts about holding the tournament in nearby Hagersville.” What’s that all about? It doesn’t quite make sense to me. That would be like saying, “Despite the fact that a black man was charged with robbery today, Tiger Woods will appear as scheduled in this year’s golf tournament”. Or the inverse, “Despite that fact the Jon Benet’s killer was a white man, Bill Clinton will speak to a predominantly white group of Catholics today”. It’s really tasteless and tacky to open a positive sports story with a distractive political venting in this manner. I did find an article in The Expositor, but not a current one. Still, it’s better than the previous article I found. Current, in that it’s on the newsstands today. But, that’s a weekly publication, not a daily publication. This means that we’ll have to check back on Tuesday for an update.
