At the start of the month, the big issue between the PowerPC and the Intel based Macs was in creative pro applications. Final Cut Pro and Logic ran in native mode on the PowerBook G4, but was not recommended for the new MacBook Pro. That’s changed.
I said earlier, I just love the phrase, “Universal Binaries”. These applications run in native mode on both the PowerPC and the Intel Core Duo Macs. Now the issue is ‘just how much faster will it run on the new MacBook Pro?’
Now we get to find out with the Upgrade to Final Cut Studio or the cross-grade to Logic, Logic Express or Final Cut Studio.
Now, if I can just get those cool far out FX from PhotoBooth and the iSight camera ships with every MacBook Pro.
