In a “put your money where your mouth is” tradition, iC SuperCOMPUTERS has once again found a low cost solution for day to day operations for the rest of us.
For the last 11 years iC has used a combination of free, open source, shareware, trail demos, freeware, shareware and low cost software for the creation of pages and images and routine updates for the iC LINKS page.
Today, iC is introducing a “works in progress” Blog using Apple’s new iWeb application that is a part of iLife 06, which ships free with every Mac computer or portable.
As a work in progress, there will be mistakes. (We do appreciate the corrections). But it does give a rare and intimate opportunity to peek into the development of a new site as it evolves day to day.
For small businesses and individuals iWeb provides the low cost solution to building websites, blogs, video sites and podcasts.
For the busy pro, iWeb provides a quick and easy way to update and maintain a website while keeping a cool or professional look and feel.
During this process, the LINKS updates may be slower than usual. The hope is that as we gain more experience with the new and exciting programing the task of providing cool content will become easier and less time consuming.
As such, we don’t know where this will take us. But, we eagerly embark on this new path with great expectations in search ofcoolness. From 1 Infinite Loop to “Infinity and beyond...”. (Okay, I guess the reference to Apple’s physical address and the Pixar movie is a bit much).
Until, we get the hang of this, don’t be too upset if I’m late posting things. If I figure out the RSS stuff, it should make it easier for people on dialup to navigate.
...I know, you miss the navigational arrowheads provided to us by Stuart (of Investor’s Group, Brantford). I’m working on it.
